Typhoon Club Summer Camps
Every year, Typhoon Club organizes in association with a number of primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong Summer Camps. These usually take place over a 5-day period from 9:30am - 3.00pm. In the morning, students are taken to places of interest where they are either given a guided tour or are asked to source the answers to pre-set questions. Locations in the past have included Swire Coca-Cola Bottling Plant; The Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence; Alexander Grantham Fireboat, Kadoorie Farm and the Lions Centre in Sai Kung. After lunch, the students are taught how to write magazine features about their visits in the morning. Each student's work is then collected, typed, edited and scanned into a 16-page, full colour magazine. |
